Speed up your digital workflow with the 6TB Mercury Elite Pro Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station from OWC / Other World Computing. This docking station features two Thunderbolt 3 ports as well as two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, allowing you to connect multiple storage arrays as well as other peripherals. Devices plugged into Thunderbolt 3 ports can benefit from up to 9V at 3A, or 27W of power delivery. These same Thunderbolt 3 ports offer up to 493 MB/s and 497 MB/s read and write times, respectively. Sporting 6TB of HDD storage space divided between two drive bays, the Mercury Elite Pro supports 2.5 and 3.5″ SATA drives. Pre-formatted in RAID 0, this docking station also supports RAID 1, allowing you to optimize storage for your needs.
A built-in SD card slot and DisplayPort connectivity allow you to upload work directly to storage or view your work on an extra monitor. Additionally, a Gigabit Ethernet port allows for connecting to a wired network. Thanks to a hardware RAID controller, switching between different RAID modes or operating systems doesn’t require any reformatting. As a result, this docking station is compatible with Windows and Mac. Upgrading the drives to SSDs can result in even faster data transfer rates. At 9.4″ long, this docking and storage solution is intended to fit comfortably on a desktop. A single fan, as well as the fenestrated aluminum body, facilitate air cooling.
